Marriage & motherhood are my two favorite kinds of love to photograph ~ shadows of heaven, copies of heavenly things.

This world has hardship, no doubt, but woven into all of creation, and especially covenant love, is the invitation into relationship with God, our Maker.

A vow to love another no matter how badly they hurt you/fail to uphold their end of the deal.

Unconditional love for a child the moment you meet them, when they have nothing to offer, no ability to earn your love, they just have it. All of it.

And so the little moments exchanged between husband and wife, a mama and her child, they feel sacred, deserving of romanticizing and glorifying, because they are echoes of the sacrificial, never ending love of our Father. And it’s an honor to sit here on my couch proclaiming that, to be welcomed into your homes & wedding venues to capture that.

This eye for intimate moments & beautiful scenes ~ I pray it’s always for the glory of God.
