What I love about motherhood photography
Since becoming a mama myself, I have such a special place in my heart for motherhood and family sessions. Love and connection are what I fell in love with when I first started photographing weddings, and that eye for intimate moments carries right over into motherhood and family photography.

My style is very movement and moment based. You can expect a gallery filled with family cuddles, close ups of little hands, and not so perfectly composed images. But rather, images you can feel. That you can look back on and smell the milky smiles, hear the silly squeals, and feel the glorious weight we carry as mothers and fathers. It's difficult, beautiful, holy work and I want to honor that.

Mini Sessions
Not sure you're ready to commit to a full session? I host mini sessions several times a year. These are styled, private sessions lasting 20-30 minutes, scheduled back to back. Whether in honor of Mother's Day, Christmas, or just because, I take a lot of pride in designing these days in a way that makes the experience special and memorable. (Think custom floral backdrops, secret locations, etc.)
FAQ
01
When is the best time to book maternity photos?
30 weeks is the sweet spot. I always recommend end of 2nd/early third trimester! Definitely before 35 weeks.
02
When should I book newborn photos?
When you book, I'll mark my calendar tentatively based on your due date. Once baby has arrived & you're ready for me, shoot me a text & we'll put an official date and time on the calendar! I recommend newborn photos take place 1-2 weeks after baby is born!
03
Do you recommend studio or in-home?
There are benefits to both!
Studio

you don't have to worry about cleaning your home 1 week postpartum
-
guaranteed good lighting
-
simple background puts you and baby as the focal point
In-home

You don't have to leave the comfort of your home

How long is an average session, turnaround time, etc?
Family sessions typically last an hour, maternity sessions 1.5, and newborn sessions anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on how much time is spent getting baby to sleep.
I never want a session to feel stressful or rushed, so I make sure plenty of time is allotted for newborn feedings, toddlers to warm up, and for the whole family to just connect and have fun.
My turnaround time for newborn sessions is 1 week. All other sessions are 3 weeks.
